Hello and welcome to the Artist Ant Interviews People Fall Series! Welcome to another edition to my latest talks with local and global creatives that are alive, hustling and thriving in their respective crafts! Today I have a very special guest that has not only been very supportive of my work and efforts, but is also a very skilled artist herself. She has a wide range of influences and tastes in different forms of media, music and art, and is very genuine about her work and space. Ladies and Avatars of the cyberdome matrix of the web, allow me to introduce, Miss Hayabusa!
Q.0: Who are your inspirations?
MH: Bruce lee, Mr. Frodo, Samwise Gamgee , Jon Snow , Akira Toriyama , Shigeru Miyamoto, Batman , Yoji Shinkawa, Monica Bellucci.
Q.1 How did you get into art?
MH: I think it all started because of Sailor Moon, I would try to draw all the sailor scouts I was probably around 7 years old.
Q.2 When did you take art seriously?
MH: High school is when I took Art more seriously.
Q.3 What drives you in your daily life?
MH: Being a better person everyday.
Q.4 What made you the person that you are today?
MH: The decisions I’ve made.
Q.5 If you could speak to any living creator or inspiration, who would it be, why, and what would talk to them about?
MH: Hideo Kojima, because Metal Gear Solid holds a special place in my heart and I would ask him anything related to it or what inspired him to create such a game.
Q.6 If there were any deceased creators , actors, singers, writers, etc that you would want to speak to, who would it be, and why?
MH: William Shakespeare I would ask him if he really wrote everything himself and how did he get his ideas.
Q.7 If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
MH: Machu picchu.
Q.8 What is one thing that you fear?
MH: Hmm, getting old.
Q.9 If you had a superpower what would it be and why?
MH: Teleportation, because I could teleport anywhere I want.
Q.10 What catches your attention when you meet people?
MH: The way they dress and their hairstyle.
Q.11 What is one word of advice that you would impart to your younger self?
MH: Enjoy life and smile more
Q.12 What are three books that you always remember or return to, and why? How did they shape you?
MH: The Alchemist, The Gods of Eden and The Lord of the Rings. Those books shaped me in a sense that I appreciate the writing and makes me want to read more and expanded my imagination
Q.13 If you could continue or remake a movie, or franchise, what would be your film of choice ?
MH: Maybe a proper Man of Steel 2?
Q.14. If you were to make a film, novel, or comic book based on an album, what album or artist would you pick?
MH: I think something from Perturbator.
Q15. Who In this life, has motivated you to stay true to what makes you who are?
MH: Myself.
Q.16 Where do you hope to see yourself in five years?
MH: Stronger and healthy.
Q.17.What are three albums or songs currently, that you listen to on repeat? And why?
MH: Well lately been listening to Tool’s new album so I guess “Fear Inoculum” “Pneuma” and “Culling Voices” because they’re great songs in regards to the lyrics and melodies ... really good stuff.
Q.18. What color speaks to you the most and why?
MH: Pink because it’s a pretty color and it makes me feel happy too.
Q.19. What's one thing that you're proud of?
MH: Proud of my family and proud that I can spend time alone and enjoy it.
Q.20. What is a mantra that you tell yourself?
MH: Everything will be ok.
